Inspiration: Alexa Chung at Valentino S/S RTW 2012

I know it's already WEEKS since Valentino show at Paris Fashion Week. So, I understand if some of you who (probably) read my blog feel disappointed. Please blame my laziness. I'm a super lazy blogger and I don't deserve any reader.
*How dare you dreaming to be a ~~super~~ fashion blogger.

Thanks to Alexa Chung. She really makes me want to write again. (Sounds like I've known her for years, eh? Hehe..) Though it's ~~a little~~ too late. But hey, inspirations never come too late.

When I first saw Alexa's on Stockholm Streetstyle, I was like "Alexa! (..then) THE SHOES!". Yeah, the things that really really attracted me were the shoes she wore. They're the cutest pair I've ever seen and she styled them so well. Imo, there's no one out there who can pull this look better than her. No doubt.

What she was wearing are a red Valentino dress (I love the bow details on the shoulders), a Valentino oversized rockstud leather clutch, and Charlotte Olympia Kitty embroidered velvet flats (you can buy them here).

I used to be a tomboy girl and made fun of fashion. I thought fashion is stupid. I didn't bother to think what I was gonna wear. Just put any baggy pants and T-shirt whenever wherever. But since I went to college, I realized that I'm a girl (haha!). Then I found sites like lookbook.nu, the sartorialist, style.com, and so many other fashionable sites. 2009. Indonesia Open 2011

When did I post my last outfit? I don't know. It's been forever I guess since I updated my outfit post. Haha.. I'm sorry. Things were just hectic and I didn't get the chance to take my picture. Plus, I didn't dress too much these past months.

These below pictures are outfit that I plan to sell. I made an online shop selling secondhand clothes called Coucou Shop. Well, it embraces me to dress up more and it works I guess. :)

About the title, it's because this afternoon was The Final of Indonesia Open 2011. It's a badminton championship held every year. Like any other badminton championships, of course I would not miss it. If you follow me on twitter, you knew I tweeted tons of words supporting my country to be the champion. Unfortunately, there were no champion coming out from Indonesia. We only got the runner up positions.

What I like the most from watching sports game is you get to see some cute athletes. Haha.. Yes, I have crush on some of badminton players. How can you not like them? They're cute, they're athlete (which means they have athletic body-shape), and they're cute (again). And this year, I found more new athletes crush. Yeaa.. And my biggest crush is for Fu Hai Feng from China since like forever. God, I wish I could be his wife. Haha..

Edie Sedgwick, A Fashion Icon

So, recently I just watched Factory Girl because it was recommended by several websites as one of fashionable movies. And I love it! Well, actually I didn't follow the story.It's.. (what is the right word for it) confusing. And I don't like the parts of Hayden Christensen. His acting was not good. Oh okay okay.. focus.

So I watched the movie only to see the outfits Sienna Miller had. And they were all amazing! Although some scenes were dominated with tights and shirt. From then, I searched about Edie Sedgwick. I feel sorry for her miserable short life. I mean, how come you wasted your life for drugs and things when you were a beautiful and fashionable socialite. When I see the pictures of Edie, it looks like she was happy with her life. Smile is always on her face.

Well, let's recall Edie for her great taste of fashion. And may she rests in peace. I love you, Edie. You're my fashion icon.

Inspiration--The Sartorialist

Who doesn't know Scott Schumann? He's the genius behind a blog called The Sartorialist. He is my biggest inspiration. I think you already knew it. Who doesn't get inspired from his amazing photographs? I love his work so so so much. Every time I stumble on his blog, I always ask myself, "How did he get those awesome pictures? How did he work? How did he notice the people? How did he how did he bla bla bla"

And finally.. here comes the answer:
*I know I'm so late to share this here, but I can't stand not to share this AMAZING video. I can't help myself to watch it over, over, and over.

My favorite parts are when he said "lettin yourself fallin in love a little bit everyday" and "with the blog, i can take a photograph and have it up on the internet and share it with people across the world...the whole world is really open to you now"

Now I know how he works. And amazingly.. he reads those comments? Aww.. this makes me love him more. I thought that huge blogger like him just pass those comments or maybe only read some. He seems love his job very much. You can see it from those eyes. I wish someday I could be like him. Working with passion and heart.

Well, hopefully someday I could meet him personally. That would be fantastic.

hi, dears!
i'm so bored these days. maybe it's because too long holidays and i'm doing nothing.
so, a couple days ago i met my old friends from high school at a mall and we had a great time.
you know, meeting some friends from our past will make us feel much younger. hehehe..
and what i wore was this, a combination of shorts, lace top, blazer, and tights.
i've seen so many people wearing this look all the time on many fashion blogs, sites, etc.

Just The Way You Are

Finally i'm freeeeeeeee!!!!
i've done with my final paper, and now i'm not a student anymore (it's sad though)
aaaaand.. now i'm home!
tomorrow we're celebrating Idul Fitri.
it's a celebration day for muslims after doing fasting for a month.
foods will be flooding the house. yay!

recently, i fall in love with Bruno Mars song, Just The Way You Are.
it's so beautiful!
i wish there's someone singing this for me.
i'm pretty sure i will fall in love with him right away. :b

so, about the outfit. a few days ago, me and my friend, rahma, went to Gedebage.
it's a secondhand market. well, not all secondhand things are sold there. but mostly, yeah.
i got 4 blazers, 2 sweaters, 1 jacket, 1 top, and 3 shirts.
And guess how much i spent?
i only spent 78k idr or equal to US $ 7.5 i guess.
this is why i love thrifted stores and secondhand market.
you can find many cute things and only spend a little.
i'll post what i bought soon.

When I found this paint, I thought this was so amazing.
I don't fully understand about art, but the girl in the picture looks both creepy and exotic for me.
And the dress, is that a rose? Great art!

Ramadhan
Do you know what it is? It's a special month for us, moslems, when we do fasting from sunrise to sunset everyday for a month.
We couldn't eat, drink, and try to avoid all bad things and do more good things during the day.
Maybe it sounds suffering, but when I do it, my spirit feels so calm and cool.
What's so special in my country is when the sunset comes and we could eat again, we usually do it together with friends or family.
And this is the most exciting thing during Ramadhan.

I'm a huge fan of The Sartorialist blog.
Scott Schumann is just the best. THE BEST.
And this picture is one of my favorites. I love how the girl smiles to the guy.

I can't wait any longer to tell you this.
Today, I opened my email and guess what..

I was doing an online chat with my old friend, Rina, last night.
We were talking about football, Germany, boy crush, accident, and all.
By the way, there was a terrible accident yesterday.
A new student of my campus was crashed by a truck while he rode motorcycle.
And died. Ugh... I was shaking hearing the news.
A fresh high school graduate just died.
He even hasn't started to go to college yet.
We don't know how much time left for us to live. Use it wisely.
Ok, I'll stop blabbering.

So, the chatting was coming into my favorite topic.
High School Times!
Oh, I miss my high school time so much and all my friends.
(And watching sky high by now, really makes me wanna go back to high school)
I'm not complaining about my past, but sometimes I wish I could change my life back then.

I truly apologize for being such a cruel owner to you.
I ignore you for months and I feel terribly bad about it.
I hope, we still can be friends, my dear blog.
Since I've found a camera to use. hehehe..

And for all of you who visit my blog,

I really feel like I was appreciated so well.

But my stupid final assignment is driving me nuts every single day.

For me, the league championship is not interesting at all.
But, THE WORLD CUP?! Oh, it's an event that I always wait every 4 years.
It gives different atmosphere to the world. (at least in my world)
I support Germany this year (and almost every year), that's why I wear the black-red-orange(should it be yellow?) accessories.
It shows that I LOVE GERMANY!
Their plays, strategy, power, kicks, players, coach, everything. I LOVE GERMANY!
Although they didn't make it to the final, I'm still proud of them.
I will support Germany, forever and always.
Hopefully I can watch them playing in 2014 worldcup in Brazil.

Well, yesterday me with my girls went to the mall to have a little bit fun.
We did karaoke, watch movie, and eat.
The movie we watched, Despicable Me, is really a cute movie.
Recommended for those of you who loves colors and animations like me. :)
It's about a super villain named Gru who wants to steal the moon.
To do his plan, he adopts 3 little girls so that the girls could steal the shrink machine.
But the girls are not only help Gru with his plan, they also do some changes in Gru's life.
Curious? You should see it yourself. And the minions, Gru's little robots, are too cute.

My laptop was broken for several weeks and I couldn't do anything.
But, here I am again. It's been repaired and my laptop is back.

I just watched Hachiko a couple hours ago.
I know it's a little bit late. hehe..
And you know what, I cried. A lot.
I'm particularly not a dog person, so I don't know why I cried.
But this movie is so touching me.
It taught me about loyalty and love.
Recommended for any of you who loves dogs.
Plus, it's based on a TRUE story.

Day at the Zoo!

Yesterday, me, Sari, Hanny, and Petrus decided to visit Museum. It's Geology Museum.
Actually, I only wanted to go out, but I was totally bored with Malls, Karaoke, or Movies.
I just wanted something new to explore. Since we never visited Museum in our town,
we were curious what's in it. Then it was decided.

We left home at 2 pm, riding motorcycle,
(which I hate so much because it made my hair totally messed out),
going straight to the museum.
When we got there, we just knew that the Museum was CLOSED at 1 pm on Sunday. (O.o)
After a lot of discussing and debating, we decided to change direction to the Zoo!!!!
Wohooo... (I know, it's a little bit childish, but I love Zoo :)

Then we ate Seafood as dinner. Heaven!

Of course I got looks and stares from people when I wore this.
But, who cares. :b

The trainer was so nice and kind. I will definitely go to that gym again.
Plus, we got some back massages from the trainer. Gosh, it felt so good!

I told you I was gonna buy some shoes. Well, I was planning to buy a pair of heels.
But these wedges, I couldn't say no to them.

Bon Nuit a tous..
I'm so sorry, I had no time for my blog recently. Last couple weeks were hectic.
Everything was in a rush.
First, I had to submit my project proposal (which was done successfully. yay!)
Second, I got a call from the factory where I do my research at to collect more datas,
so I had to come back to my hometown for a couple days.
Third, when I was still enjoying my little vacation at home,
my friend texted me telling that I got to get back to Bandung for Co-op test
(Co-op is kind of part time job at a prestigious company).

And.. here I am.
Oh.. I also watched so many movies last week. Too many I guess. :D
The Hurt Locker, 9, Fast and Furious, My Name is Khan, The Ugly Truth, and what else.. I forgot them. :b
I'll tell you about this movie. My Name is Khan.
This is so inspiring. At least for me. :b
It's about Rizvan Khan, an Indian muslim who lives in America with his wife and step son.
He's got Asperger's syndrome (I don't know what it is. Something like autism I guess),
so he's different from other people.
After the 9/11 incident, his son, Sam, was accidentally killed
by a bunch of naughty boys who bullied him because his last name is Khan
(it shows that he's a muslim, but he and his mother are not. They're Hindu.)
Risvan's wife was furious with him.
She blamed their son's death to him and asked him away.
But she told him that he could come back home when he could say to the President of The United State that his name is Khan, and he's not a terrorist.
And the journey begins..

Moral of the story:
You can't blame all people only from someone mistakes.
Ok, enough for my boring story.

I'm craving for shoes, seriously. I still don't know what kind of shoes I wanna buy.
I rarely buy shoes, so they gotta be my investment.

Fuzzy Blue Lights

Hi guys! How's life? Mine is... so so.
There was a graduation ceremony last Saturday at my campus, and some of my friends were graduated on that day.
Oh, it's so sad seeing them wearing the graduation cap and all.
And I'm still struggling here with my final paper/assignment/project (whatever you call it.)
But, this is my life. I have to live it my way. Hehe.

Anywho, It's always raining here and I hate that.
I was supposed to go to the library to find some references for my paper but it was canceled (again?! I know).
And it's not because of the rain. hehehe..
I was ready to go. Here's what I wore,

Don't you think it's a skirt? No, they're shorts. I was wrong too at the first time I saw them.

There's a funny story when I bought some socks last week.
The seller put a sign that said "Rp 10000 (around $1) for 3".
Then I asked him "Is it for 3 pieces or 3 pairs, sir?".
My friend was shocked and she was like, "Of course it's for 3 pairs. Hahaha.."
I was totally ashamed.

"Stressed" is "Desserts" spelled backwards

Ok, about the title: I'm so stressed right now because of my final assignment (again).
Next week is the deadline of the proposal. I have to make it done before Tuesday. Aye aye..
I planned to go to the library today but it was cancelled (by myself).
I had a consultation this morning with my teacher and she gave me more journal to read. :]
So, it really makes me stressed out. As one of chictopian said that fashion is therapeutic, I did some experiments.
And here's the result:

My dad bought me this dress a few months ago because we wanted to attend a wedding party.
My mom and dad were so surprised that I wanted to buy a dress.
I used to be a super tomboy girl.
Boys in high school called me "The Boss", because I was fat and always looked angry.
I didn't put any make up when I went to school.
I didn't want to wear any skirt besides school skirt.
I didn't want to read some girly mags (I though it was gross for me).
I didn't talk about boys (even when I had a crush to someone).
My granny was so scared that I'd become a lesbian because I was so NOT girly.
My aunt tried everything she could to put some make up at me at any family party.
My cousin tricked me in many ways to make me more girly (I don't have sister, so she's my "sister").
My mom, she gave up. She didn't try anything. I think she was too tired with me.
Then, I went to college in separate city. People change. I'm one of the people. I change too.
I started to lost some weights (I try to lose more).
I started to use make up (even it's only a little).
I started to wear more skirts and dresses.
I started to change.
My family are so happy to see me now. They're surprised, but happy.
I think my granny can be relieved now that I'm not a lesbian. Haha.

Paris.. I wish I could live there. It seems like a paradise for me.

I have no idea. I'm taking Industrial Engineering and I think it's the biggest mistake I've ever done to my life.
But what can I say? My mom said it's my destiny. I have to live this way.

We went to Ciwalk yesterday to eat pizzas, actually a lot of pizzas :D. And it was sooo fun. Eating, Shopping, Taking photos. Oh yeah..
Plus, I lost 2 pounds in a week. Thanks to the gym. Hoho.. yes, I went to the gym on Friday and the trainer was so kind to showed me the way step by step.
It was exhausting actually, but I'll do anything to lose my weights. Hopefully it works well.

Not another boring day

Last night we watched Case 39 and it was amazing. Shocking and surprising. We've been made scared all the time and screamed a lot (actually it was only me). Good movie :)

Today, we were going to Pasar Baru Trade Market to buy some clothes and bags for them. I had no plan to buy anything but ended up with new tights and belt. Uh oh.. I should save money for my next trip to Karimunjawa but I SPENT it! Gotta save more for tomorrow.

Anyway, yesterday I exercised. I was jogging for 30 minutes. Yay! You know what, I gained more weights after last 3 week holiday. I went home and ate too much I guess. Adding 12 pounds to my body is just horrible. I should start my new diet soon. Gosh..

I didn't watch the show fully when it was showed on the local TV here.
I just watched it for a couple minutes, listened to Taylor Swift and The Black Eyed Peas before sleeping.
But I heard that Beyonce grabbed 5 Grammys. Wew, no wonder. She has amazing voice and her performances are always perfect. Taylor Swift also got some, am I right? Well, I will always be her fan forever and always. Her talent for making songs is awwwwesome. 500 songs when you were 13?! omg! Another spotted news: Russel Brand proposed Katy Perry when they were in India?! I don't like it. I mean, it's Katy Perry.

Officially, I'm in my holidays. I mean, the classes are off and I could do anything I want. But I can't. Since I'm doing my final assignment, I have to make a research about assembly line balancing problem of a factory and I think it will be started next week. I've been dreaming to go to Karimunjawa. It's a little archipelago located in north Java and it has beautiful views. And... *this makes me so sad* my friends ask me to go to Karimun with them NEXT WEEK! Helloow! Honestly, I feel sooo terrible. I always said I would go, but the fact says I can't. Maybe if you see these pictures, you'll know how I feel.

I'm so jealous. Other bloggers have camera to take their pics and post it to their blog. And me? I have no camera. Those pics I've uploaded were all taken by my friends'. Sometimes I borrowed from them because I wanted to take pics of myself. But most of the time, I asked them to take my pics and posted it on facebook so that I could take the copy. But deep down, I wanna have my own camera. Uh oh.. so desperate!

btw, I'm starting my weight loss program now! yes, I mean today. Although maybe eating some chocolate biscuits and snacks considered cheating? hehe.. but I promise to myself that by the end of the year I'll loss 12kgs so that my weight will be 47 kgs. Amen!

Here's my plan to reduce some weight, I don't know it's healthy or not but it worked for me a few months ago:
1. Have big meal once a day. Yes, once! I usually do it after midday.
2. Eat banana when I get hungry. I have lots of bananas in my room.
3. Drink water as much as I can. This will help my body reduce some toxic. *Also, it'll make me pee all day long. :(
4. Do some work out. It's not always going to gym or jogging every morning. I usually dance in my room while singing my fav songs. Sounds like private karaoke. Hhe

Hopefully, by reducing some weights I could be more comfortable with myself. It doesn't mean I'm not comfy with myself today. But, i'll be much happier if I can wear looooooots of clothes I wanna wear.

my first backpacking trip (2)

The next day, we planned to go to Pararngtritis Beach but we woke up late so we decided to walked through Malioboro street again until we found amuseum called "Benteng Vredeburg". It's a museum that shows the story of how Indonesia fought for its independence in 1900s. Soon after we felt glad, we came back to the hostel to check out and go to Semarang, my hometown. My mom told me to bring my friends to Semarang so that they can take a little rest and of course having another interesting trip.

next day in Semarang, my dad dropped us at Kota Lama,,, a place where you can see many old buildings and take a lot of nice pics there. We walked and walked and take many pics. Btw, Semarang is a hot city, our skin were burned and it got tanned. hahaha... ;9

Finally, our final destination was Lawang Sewu, a mysterious building with a lot of horror stories in there. We even walked in the dungeon which was so creepy and spooky. Many people say that Lawang Sewu is haunted and i believe that. The atmosphere is totally different. I could feel it eventhough i couldn't see it.

Well, that's my trip. hopefully, i can go to other place and countries to explore more. See ya..

my first backpacking trip (1)

hi all,, finally one of my wishes became true..
last week me, Ratih, and Septy went to Jogja for having our first backpacking trip...
first we bought the economic train tickets which was sooo cheap that i couldn't ever imagine that there is a ticket with that price. well, firstly i felt so nervous because this is my first time using economic train for a far distance, but my worry didn't reasonable because once we got up to the train, we got seat and had a nice trip until Jogja. oh yeah,,, for this trip i bought a new sunglasses! it's brown and it's cute. i looove it... i wore it all the time when i got to Jogja...

we leaved Bandung at 8.30 pm and arrived at Jogja at 6.00 am. then the first thing we did was finding a cheap hostel for us. i had searched before that kampung Sosrowijayan is the best place to stay but a man told us that the hostels in Sosrowijayan were full and expensive. we were so dumb and we trusted him,,, so we walked and walked until we found a hostel called "Wisma Kunthi" which had the price 80000 idr for a single night. actually the facility was not so good,,, but we were so desperate and exhausted to find another hostel so we decided to take the room.

we took a rest for a while, taking a bath, and walking again to the Malioboro street. for you all who doesn't know it, Malioboro is the famous street in Jogja. you can find many cheap things like bag, dress, accessories, etc in the afternoon and also you can find a lot of yummy foods in the night. i bought some bangles for only 7500 idr each. cheap huh??

then we went to Kraton Yogyakarta which were closed at the time and a museum that showed many collections of Kraton's old vehicles. i remember one funny moment when we decided to take pedicab because we were tired walking. firstly, it went smooth,, until one of the wheel gone crazy and finally three of us fell down to the streets. it was really silly i guess since three of us have a big body shapes and that pedicab was so small...

at night we decided to find the real Sosrowijayan village and proved that there were cheap hostels there. and see,,, i was right,, the hostels in Sosrowijayan had same price with my hostels but in BETTER facilities. we were so shocked and felt sorry about that. i wish i could stay in Sosrowijayan,,, people say it's a backpacker heaven!! that was my fool i couldn't stay there.

actually it was our practical job
which is commanded by the university. we applied to nisa's hotel for a fictive one... hihihi,,, but honestly we went there only for fun!!!

we had fun with taking pics around the hotel,,, pelabuhan ratu is a nice spot to visit because it offers lagusa view (laut-gunung-sawah) or beach/mountain/rice fields all in a package... many tourists come here...

starting walking at the beach in the morning... then trying foods at Ombak Tujuh Cafe...
mine is surfer's pizza (42k idr) and pineapple juice (12k idr),,, nisa tried chicken fillet burger (45k idr) and ice lime (12k idr) then hanny's were chicken and french fries (45k idr) with melon juice (12k idr). the price was quite expensive but it was large portion and the owner was so nice to us... thank you sir... the fun thing was there were so many cute guys there,,, but i was really attracted by a guy who wore a blue shirt that day... i call him Mas Ganteng Kaos Biru (MGKB).. but he was only passing by the cafe not sitting and eating like us... :'( after our stomach full of those foods,, we burned the calories by walking from cek ombak to karang hawu. well, it's about 7km i guess,,(sekar)(nisa)(hanny) heheu...
